New Model: Industrial DVD-V8000 Player & RS232 Port
Robust and easy to use
The DVD-V8000’s tough black casing is suitable for a 19” rack fitting; the main operating buttons are large and designed to support simple, intuitive operation while an LCD enhances frame-accurate search capabilities. And it’s dust proof - the drive mechanism is encased in a sealed chamber, preventing any dust or dirt from settling. So you’re virtually guaranteed uncompromising playback quality. Extended connectivity, giving you extended flexibility. When purchasing an industrial DVD player, connectivity and versatility are key. The DVD-V8000 now gives you more flexibility than ever before. That’s why we’ve included an extensive line-up of connectors.
Easy video switching means greater versatility
Composite video enables the DVD-V8000 to act as a video switcher. So during the day, you can play DVD video (a film, music video or promotional content) and in the evening, switch to show another source (perhaps a football match, or to play a video feed on displays in the bar from the dance floor where a DJ or band may be playing).
Controlled through a PC, Command Stack or the Monitor key on the front of the unit, the DVD-V8000 can switch the video and audio independently between the source and the playback disc.
Putting control in the hands of… anybody
RS-232C and Ext Terminal extend the DVD-V8000s versatility - it can be connected to a PC or switch-pad so your customers can interact with it while the USB ports can be used to link a mouse or a memory device.
And through the Monitor Out connection, the device can be controlled from a back office with the LCD informing the operator of what’s being shown and playback status.
Extended capability alternatives
Third party touch-screen devices can be interfaced with the DVD-V8000 including Pioneer’s own PDK-50HW3 touch-screen for its 50-inch professional plasma display. It enables users to draw directly onto the video - an application tailor made for education, corporate training and sports tuition environments. With the addition of a keyboard and mouse, the DVD player’s training capabilities are enhanced with the facility to freeze an image, highlight or draw on an area and by typing on the screen.
The DVD-V8000 also delivers accurate frame search to thoroughly check new content frame by frame with high quality playback and control via PC (RS-232C).
