-SA transmitters and receivers deliver the ultimate combination of signal over a single Cat5/5e/6 UTP cable.
That's right video, serial and stereo audio on one cable
The –SA transmitters and receivers simplify installation and save money by eliminating the need for additional Cat5/6 cables for stereo audio and/or serial distribution. Distance capability is zero to 610 meters (2000 feet) and is available in three distance ranges: 183m, 366m and 610m. The user pays only for the distance that is needed.
Dual-port versions of the –SA receivers enable simplex serial, stereo audio and video to be daisy-chained, saving more money by distributing to a maximum of twelve displays from a single transmitter. Compatible video formats include high-resolution computer video (at least 1920x1200 resolution), NTSC, PAL, RGB or Y/Pb/Pr component video, HDTV and S-video.
Please note:
To get these features they must be ordered as the SA models. There is no way to "upgrade" a standard AK600 or UTx to the SA series. In this manner they are equivalent to a UTx-232 or AK600-232 in that they have a "daughter board" that is factory installed.
The Magneta SA series are available as End of Run and Daisy-Chain models.
This is because Magneta are pre configuring the jumpers on the serial daughterboards to make things easier for our customers.
The Daisy-Chain models are used as the links in the Dasiy-Chain.
The End of Run model is used as the last unit in a Daisy-Chain.
It's all about terminating the serial connections.
At any time a customer can change either model for the other by reconfiguring the jumpers as per the instruction booklet.
