Magenta’s 4Play 1x4 DVI transmitter provides a cost-effective means to distribute digital video over category cable to four or eight remote displays, when used in conjunction with Cat's i Receivers.
Each UXGA /1080P / 1080i / 720p-ready digital transmitter has four CatX outputs and a Local Monitor Out port can be utilized to connect a second transmitter, providing a total of eight DVI outputs. UXGA / 1080p can be transmitted to 46 metres, while 1080i / 720p signals can be distributed to displays 91 metres away from the 4Play unit.
4Play also features mock-mode DDC functionality, allowing for the cloning and storing of display DDC info in the 4Play unit, enabling the video source to see it as a custom selected display. Pass through mode further enables DDC display information for the monitor on 4Play’s local port to be passed to the video source. Modes can be changed via external dipswitches located on the bottom of the 4Play unit.
For optimum video fidelity, Screened Cat5/5e/6 (ScTP) cable should be utilized along with Screened RJ45 connectors.
• UXGA / 1080p signals: 46m over ScTP
• 1080i / 720p signals: 91m over ScTP
* Separate power supply required for each 4Play transmitter and Cat’s i receiver.
