| Media Server | ||
| The Furnace Media Server is a full featured, highly configurable video on-demand system, providing secure video-on-demand sessions. The rack mountable chassis is highly scalable and comes standard with either 2 or 5 terabytes of storage. The Furnace Media Server enables secure access to your pre-encoded content to meet the unique needs of your organization. The Furnace Media Server is Teach Act compliant; where you can configure limited time period availability for each asset or set a specific limit on the number of concurrent users allowed per asset. Use the VFEditor utility to add or edit bookmarks, thumbnail images, metadata, or set viewing limits. You can also create VFNow links and paste them to course management systems, your own branded portal, your lesson plan, or integrate on-demand access to the OnGuide program guide. Any way your end-users access the system, they experience a simple “click & watch” experience with full “trick mode” support. | Datasheet | |
| The “Zero Footprint” InStream Player | ||
| For users, the InStream player available on the desktop or on the STINGRAY set top box, provides access to live and recorded channels as well as on demand content. Complete system control allows for creating and scheduling broadcasts that can be made available to users or can be directed to select groups of set top boxes and players. Furnace is the ideal system for creating and controlling enterprise video, for establishing HD signage throughout a facility, for providing on demand material, and for capturing, organizing, and reviewing events. | Datasheet | |
| Torpedo 2 | ||
Torpedo allows enterprises to get digital broadcast transmission onto their IP networks without the need for re-encoding the video. Digital satellite (DVB-S/S2) and digital terrestrial (DVB-T/ T2) broadcasts contain audio/video programming using industry standard compression (MPEG-2 or H.264) contained within MPEG-2 transport streams. The Torpedo gateway tunes to particular channels, as delivered over RF by the DVB antennas or satellite dishes, extracts and filters the MPEG transport stream packets, and delivers the program content over IP networks eliminating the need to re-encode. A single Torpedo can support up to 15 content channels, each re-broadcast as unicast or multicast IP video data streams. Stand-alone or fully integrated as part of Furnace. |

| Viper | Datasheet | |
Haivision’s Viper is a compact, integrated appliance for capturing, streaming, reviewing, distributing, and publishing rich, multi-stream high definition content. The Viper supports capturing and streaming high-resolution sources simultaneously, such as an HD camera and a computer. Either source can be high definition video or high-resolution computer encoded in real-time to H.264. During live viewing or replay of the “event”, the streams remain associated and synchronized. Both media streams are always available at full resolution, and with Haivision’s patented InStream player, the viewer can select the most appropriate display layout. The Viper can be used as a stand-alone recording/streaming appliance or integrated with a Furnace IP video distribution system to give users direct recording/streaming control leveraging a distributed recording architecture. |
