VCC 4cIP module operate as traditional quad-split devices when used without any external control. Modules can be controlled via serial interface to create 4 sizeable and scaleable video windows. RS-485, RS-232, RJ-45 (Ethernet) communications is standard. 

VCC modules can be cascaded (15 units max.) to display up to 60 sizeable and scaleable video windows on one display.

The 4-Cast is a new member of Avitech's series of Presentation modules. It displays up to four image sources of any size and at any position with remarkable clarity and sharpness simultaneously on a single display device. Two of the four sources can be RGB or DVI signals from computers. The other two sources can be from composite, YC, or component video.

Computer inputs on RGB can range from 640x480 to 1600x1200 resolutions. DVI inputs automatically detect incoming digital computer sources from 640x480 to 1280x1024. Outputs on the 4-Cast are RGB and DVI. The output resolution scales from 852x480 up to 1600x1200 at either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios.

The 4-Cast can be controlled via an RS-232 or Ethernet communication. The 4-Cast is ideal for both single screen and multiple screen applications. In multiple screen applications, several 4-Cast modules can be controlled from a single point of control using an IP or RS-232 port and cascading the control signals to the next module via RS-485, the second serial port.

The 4-Cast module has internal memory for storage of custom built presets. It will always display the last screen layout when it is turned on. Therefore, it does not need a control PC in routine display applications.

4-Cast module feature fading transition between the two computer or video images. Any portion of the images can be cropped and panned. There are virtually limitless window size and placement combinations.

A Windows based control program shipped along with the 4-Cast provides functional operation of the module. A PC with an available Ethernet or RS-232 serial port running Windows 98SE or higher is all that is required. API and example function calls are available for 3rd party system integration.

Galaxy is used with VCC-4cIP Modules. Galaxy is a simple yet powerful control system that is specifically designed for systems that are less complicated. It is ideal for fixed installations that do not need to integrate with 3rd party routers, production switchers or tally management systems. Layouts and presets can be made quickly be recalled by 3rd party control systems via IP or RS232.
